Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata sends a message to fans ahead of Barca game.

Chelsea star player Alvaro Morata has taken to social media to reveal his great pleasure of helping Chelsea overcome Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

The injury-prone striker came in from the bench and his impact was immediately felt as Antonio Conte’s men claim an important three points win over Crystal Palace.

In the game that ended 2-1 in favour of Chelsea, Antonio Conte opted to start winter signing Olivier Giroud upfront ahead of Morata.

But it remains to be seen if Alvaro Morata will start in the game against Barcelona in the return leg of the Champions League at Camp Nou.

As he revealed on Instagram, it seems the player was very happy to play a part helping Chelsea to come back to winning ways in the Premier League after losing to Manchester City.

Morata posted a picture on his verified Instagram account with the caption: “Back to winning ways! Go Chelsea and thanks for the support.

Chelsea will now face Barcelona tomorrow after a first-leg 1-1 draw at Stanford Bridge.

Morata did not start when they played against Barcelona in the first leg, and he was also benched in the Premier League Manchester City and Crystal Palace.

Morata has scored 12 goals and appeared to be in great form, but since the arrival of Olivier Giroud, he’s only played just nine matches so far.

Chelsea might find it difficult to clinch the fourth position in the EPL table, they will now have to focus more towards their crunch tie against Barcelona in the last round of 16-clash
