Liverpool battle Manchester United at Old Trafford in today’s early kickoff game. The Reds are on a three-match winning streak after their 2-2 home draw to Tottenham Hotspur. Jurgen Klopp’s men are also doing great in the Champions League after they comfortably progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition with a 5-0 win over FC Porto.

Manchester United currently occupy the second position with a  two-point gap between them and Liverpool ahead of today’s clash.

In his pre-match conference, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Andy Robertson, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum are all in contention for a place in Klopp’s starting lineup. Robertson and Wijnaldum were unavailable for selection when the Merseyside club tackle FC Porto in Champions League last-16 second leg tie on Tuesday night.

Only Nathaniel Clyne remains Liverpool’s injured player ahead of the match while Mourinho has been sweating over the fitness of his players.  Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera, Anthony Martial and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are all out of the much-anticipated fixture.

José Mourinho will hope to see Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in great goalscoring form in order to see his team emerge victorious over his rivals at the Old Trafford.

Liverpool’s attacking threat would surely be a handful for United defence to cope with as in-form striker Mohammed Salah will hope to add to his 24 Premier League tally this season.

Why Man United must quickly seek options, forget Sancho

Jadon Sancho

It is getting clear that English Premier League club Man United will not be landing their major target this summer transfer window?

The Red Devils have identified German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho as their major target and are hoping to land him this season.

Man United have been slammed with a whopping sum of £100 million and that seems to be unrealistic.

The latest reports now claim that Borussia Dortmund now want the future of the England international sorted by the start of August as they will not listen to offers afterwards.

Dortmund are also insisting on a few within the region of £100 and could ask for more, according to German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten.

The report claims that Borussia Dortmund are not under any pressure to sell or not, hence they are not ready for any negotiations on the fee.

This development seems like a set-back for the Reds Devils and apparently means they are not signing the England International anymore.

The Red Devils will not be able to table £100 million for the 20-year-old. They do not have the ability and the Coronavirus has made it worst. The club have already pegged a £50 million price for Jadon Sancho.

Arsenal receiving Lacazette temptation, will they overcome?

Alexandre Lacazette

Hardly will a day go by without speculations of Arsenal parting ways with France international Alexandre Lacazette ahead of the summer transfer window.

L’Equipe are the latest to report that the former Lyon striker is being linked with a move to Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan with all clubs establishing contact with the North London outfit.

Some reports claim that the Gunners will favour a move for the striker to Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid as a bait to land their major target Thomas Partey.

The Gunners are keen on Partey to add depth to their midfield and create a cover for the shaky defence.

Howbeit, this comes as a temptation to the Gunners who are obviously not interested in Laazette’s exit.

The France international has two years left to run out his contract with Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta has made it clear that he wants to have more of the player, adding that there will be talks of a contract extension at the end of the season.

But the fact that Arsenal will land some financial benefits, as well as sanction other target deals, could tempt the club to let go of Lacazette, making him the sacrificial lamb.

Alexandre Laazette was on target in the Gunners last EPL game and there are hopes that he has a lot to score at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal player banished, what happens next?

The situation for Arsenal midfielder, Matteo Guendouzi seems to be getting worst with reports by The Athletic claiming that he has been banished from first-team training for the last two weeks.

It is claimed by David Ornstein that the France International has been working alone with one of the club’s fitness coach, as instructed by manager Mikel Arteta.

Matter Guendouzi is being accused of attitude issues and that has been messy since his post-match confrontation with compatriot Neal Maupay during the 2-1 Premier League defeat at Brighton on June 20.

Efforts to calm the 21-year-old has yet to yield any result and the situation irritates Arteta who is not ready to have such attitude in his team.

Matter Guendouzi joined the Gunners with a great prospect but that seems to be dying. He has not featured in Arsenal’s last four games.

Reports even claimed that Matteo Guendouzi has told the club hierarchy of his decision to leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

It is feared that the development with Guendouzi and his soar relationship with Mikel Arteta could be marking his end at the Emirates Stadium.

With reports that he is wanted at the La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid, Arsenal could add him in the deal that will bring in Ghana international Thomas Partey to the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has dismissed speculations that the club have refused to agree on a new deal with Tammy Abraham because of his poor form.

The Blues have been in negotiation over a new deal for the youngster since last year, but nothing has been done to reach a deal.

Frank Lampard confirms that Tammy Abraham has not been in fine form since the second half of the season but can not trace issues of his contract negotiation to performance on the pitch.

The former Chelsea midfielder said the issue is between the player and the club and will allow them settle it in the best interest of both parties.

Lampard stated that what is expected of the 22-year-old is his focus on the club’s success this season and how he can also contribute either as a starter or coming from the bench.

According to Lampard, Tammy Abraham has to keep working hard to prove he is still the player that was enjoyed in the first half of the season, stressing that this is what the player needs at the moment.

The Chelsea boss is hoping that contract issues will be settled as he seeks focus for his team to secure a Champions League qualification.

Chelsea are fourth on the table with just two points ahead of Man United. They will have to win all remaining games to avoid losing the spot to the Red Devils.

French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco seems to be resigning to fate over keeping their star player Wissam Ben Yedder who is also top on Man United’s wanted list.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to prove a point next season and that begins with equipping his team with the 29-year-old striker as a major target in the summer window.

Wissam Ben Yedder, who turns 30 in August is believed to be experienced and the quality needed at the Old Trafford.

The Red Devils can boast of a handful of strikers including Marcus Rashford, Antonio Martial and Mason Greenwood, adding to the presence of Nigerian international Odion Ighalo but that has not stopped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from making strikers a priority.

However, Man United will have to battle for the signature of the Monaco player as a number of clubs are in his chase.

Meanwhile, it seems the player will be available for a fee of £36 million as the Ligue 1 outfit are reported to be out in search for his replacement.

Monaco have identified former Arsenal
striker Donyell Malen as a target ahead of the summer window.

The 21-year-old has found the net 28 times in 71 appearances since joining PSV Eindhoven in 2017, making him fit for the challenge at Monaco.

Emerging reports reveal that English Premier League outfit Chelsea have received a bid of £23 million for left full-back Emerson Palmieri from Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan.

While the Blues are willing to part ways with the player, Inter Milan are keen to land him to solve their defensive issues ahead of the coming season.

For the West London club, doing away with Emerson Palmieri and Marcus Alonso is already in the pipeline with newcomers for the left-back position a target in the coming summer transfer window. No wonder Frank Lampard now prefers to make us of Ceaser Azpilicueta who is not a natural left player.

Tutto Mercato Web reports that Chelsea Director Marina Granovskaia initially requested for £27 million for Emerson Palmieri but is forced to come down on the price because it is becoming clear that he no longer has a future at the Stamford Bridge.

Inter Milan are offering Emerson Palmieri a five year deal, and he would be paid £3.6 million a year at the San Siro.

However, The West London outfit are considering the option of Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell as a replacement for the left-back position as there is no assurance that Marcos Alonso will also be staying after this season.
