Juventus were held to a 2-2 draw by Spurs in Champions League last-16 first leg tie last week in Turin and all the North London Club require is just a goalless draw to see through to the next round of the competition.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men were on fire from the start of the match and they were rewarded for their impressive display in opening half as Heung-min Son put the ball past Buffoon into Juventus net to put Tottenham ahead.
After lots of missed chances, Juventus found their way back into the game in the second half when Argentina international striker Gonzalo scored an equalizer after a great assist from Sami Khedira.
The home fans were heartbroken after just three minutes when another Argentine striker, Paulo Dybala scored the goal that put the North London club to the sword.
Every effort made by Tottenham to equalize wasn’t enough as the game ended 2-1 in favour of the Scudetto Champions.
After seeing his Club through to the next round, Poland international goalkeeper – who was on the bench throughout the encounter- Wojciech Szczesny took to Twitter to celebrate his team’s victory by posting praising his teammates and also praising his former club Arsenal as he says North London remain Red.
Arsenal fans were delighted with the goalkeeper’s tweet and they applauded his attitude despite given little chance by Wenger to prove his qualities.
