Manchester United talks remain reluctant to let go of their goalkeeper in the summer as they are currently in talks with the goalie over a new contract offer which could make him one of the highest paid goalkeepers in the league.
According to reports emanating from the Old Trafford stadium, talks are ongoing between the Spaniard’s agent and Manchester United concerning his new contract with the Red Devils but Real Madrid president Florentino Perez still remains keen on the player’s signature and he could be making another move for the goalie in the summer.
Florentino Perez who has been a longtime admirer of the netminder almost signed him in 2015 transfer period but the deal was abruptly closed at the nick of time by United who failed to sign the Spaniard’s replacement before the end of the window
According to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital, the 27-year-old might just consider Madrid deal in the summer as long as the Galacticos do all he wants from them.
El Gol Digital also suggests that De Gea wants to be receiving huge sum of €8million as his annual salary should he switch to Santiago Bernabeu. The Spaniard also charges Real Madrid to terminate Navas deal or they stopped him from being the first choice goalkeeper.
Real Madrid could fail in their bid to defend the league title which they won last season due to the team’s poor defensive records throughout the season and Florentino wants to avoid the same situation in the upcoming season as he knows that with De Gea.
