Ex-Arsenal man Stewart Robson feels Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is the right candidate to replace Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium.
Antonio Conte mentioned
As cited by ESPN, the former Gunners midfielder talked about the potential of the side finding a replacement for Arsene Wenger at the conclusion of the season.
He said Antonio Conte is a brilliant tactician who makes sure his players did what he wanted them to do on the field of play.
He also stated that the players would know exactly what is expected of them in the team, which doesn’t happen at Arsenal at the moment.
The Italian tactician’s future at the club is under severe scrutiny. His team have underperformed throughout the season and it has been said that the side are considering their options ahead of this summer transfer window.
Wenger under severe pressure
Arsene Wenger, too, has seen his role at the North London club come under scrutiny recently. This was compounded by his team’s 3-0 loss in the League Cup final to League leaders Manchester City on Sunday.
The French tactician’s contract at the Emirates Stadium does not run out until the conclusion of next campaign, though, and it remains unlikely that the bosses at North London would part ways with him in the meantime.
