Manchester United boss José Mourinho sent a message in a written note to Nemanja Matic who was featuring against his former club last night.
Eric Bailey was seen making his way to the pitch in the second half with a piece of paper in his hand and he ran to Matic’s path and he delivered the message to the Serbian.
To the surprise of many, there was a moment of friendship joke between Matic and Willian as the Brazilian winger chase after his former teammate to know what was written in the book but he couldn’t get hold of the paper as the former Chelsea midfielder ran around with the paper.
The holding midfielder had one of his best performances in the Red Devils shirt since he joined Mourinho’s team in yesterday’s game and he has unveiled the message to the public via his Instagram account on Monday.
In the paper was a message which read “3 days off!”. Though its meaning wasn’t revealed but it could be traced to the player’s impressive performance which has made the Portuguese manager to give him a three-day break.
Willian broke the deadlock in the 32nd minutes after a neat work from Hazard but it took an individual brilliance from Romelu Lukaku to win the game for the Old Trafford outfit as the Belgian scored the equalizer and also assisted Lingard’s winner in the second half of the game.
