According to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Real Madrid to know if they stand any chance of purchasing James Rodriguez in the summer.
The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, but he has been unable to establish himself in the club’s starting lineup so far this season, making just 13 league starts.
Despite being a bit-part player in the team, the Colombian has been directly involved in 10 goals- four goals and six assists.
Having sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in the summer, Don Balon suggest that Klopp is set to bring the Colombian to Merseyside in the summer as the Brazilian’s replacement.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly going to be given huge cash in the summer so as to complete some high-profile signings ahead of the next season, but the German manager could find it difficult to get the 2014 World Cup star irrespective of the financial value in their proposed contract due to the fact that he still has a year left in his loan deal with Bayern Munich.
It is yet to be seen if the Bundesliga giants would love to part way with the Real Madrid forward or they would love to keep him for the rest of his loan agreement with them.
James Rodriguez is a player whose quality and playing style will merge with Klopp’s tactics should he move to the Anfield stadium. The Merseyside club will surely witness an upgrade to their attacking threat which have been top notch since the second period of the season.
