Arsenal were whitewashed 3-0 by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final which was played on Sunday at the Wembley stadium.
Sergio Aguero’s wonder goal broke the deadlock before the half-time break while second-half goals from Vincent Kompany and David Silva ended Arsenal’s hope of a comeback.
The Gunners were defeated by Ostersunds, a minnow from the Swedish league, in the build-up to yesterday’s clash.
Many Arsenal fans were hoping to see a well-organized team against the Citizens but they hope was dashed as they saw Wenger’s men being outclassed by the invincible Citizens.
There have been comments and reactions from pundits towards the game. One of the first pundits to give his thoughts on Arsenal’s performance was former Manchester United player Gary Neville, who is now a Sky Sports pundit, he expressed his disappointment in Arsenal’s style of play.
According to him, it is hard to detect Wenger’s playing patterns and that is affecting the team. Apart from the pundit, Arsenal fans also expressed their displeasure with Aubameyang’s performance via social media.
Surprisingly, all Arsenal faithfuls who took to Twitter to show their dissatisfaction with the Gabonese striker were all saying the same thing.
According to Aido via his Twitter account, Aubameyang was isolated throughout the match as he didn’t see much of the ball.
Another fan Jason believes Arsenal’s problem is not from Lacazette’s lack of form but Arsenal’s lack of creative midfielders, strong defenders and also a great goalkeeper.
Another Arsenal passionate fan tweeted that Aubameyang will know what it takes to play for Arsenal who lack good players could supply him much service.
Wenger will now turn his attention to the Europa League competition as that is his only chance of winning any trophy this season and also qualifying for next season’s Champions League competition.
With his side’s 3-0 victory over Arsenal, Guardiola has won his first trophy as Manchester City boss since 2016.
Same thing happening to Aubameyang which was happening to Lacazette. Starved of anything real. Press defence alone. Become fan scape goat.

Auba is suffering what Laca has suffered all season – poor service! Difference is Laca can actually drop back, get involved and create something.

Aubameyang going through the same lack of service Lacazette has had all season

Aubameyang just like Lacazette the lone target man chasing scraps. Fans wrote off Laca for it when it’s the supply that should be questioned.
