After their narrow passage through to the round of 16 in this season Europa League competition having defeated Ostersunds FK 3-2 on aggregate, Arsenal have been drawn with Serie A giants AC Milan in the round of 16 tie.
The draw which was made today will see Arsenal tackle the former Champions League finalist AC Milan on their way to win their first Europa League trophy.
The first leg of the tie will be played at the San Siro stadium on the 8th of next month while the return leg will take place at the Emirates Stadium on the 15th of the same month.
In-form Milan who hasn’t lost any match under new manager Gattusso will surely be a great hurdle for Wenger’s men to cross.
Unlike the North London club who conceded two goals at home, AC Milan were 4-0 aggregate Winner over Ludogorets.
Having seen the pairings, Arsenal fans have took to Twitter to show their opinions, one of the Gunners faithfuls was surprised and frightened to see Arsenal paired with AC Milan who are in great form.
As for another one, he would have been excited assuming it was in 2011 because Milan were out-of-form throughout the season while Arsenal were in great form.
Another fan suggested that there is nothing to be afraid of as both teams have equal chances of making it through to the next round of the competition. He further tweeted that both teams are a shadow of themselves.
