The young player dubbed Darren Fletcher had United fans pouring praises on him after they criticize the underrated player upon being in the first eleven over Paul Pogba last night.

Brilliant that we can play a 21 year old in Central Midfield who has been at the club since he was 9 years old, in the Knock out stages of the Champions League. What Manchester United are all about. #Mctominay #MUFC

I don't think anyone crying out 'why Pogba didn't start yesterday' could give a real reason why they think he should start! McTominay clearly deserves his chance and currently he's above the Frenchman on form.#MUFC

Would of liked an away goal last night but we didn't get it. De Gea was great as he usually is. Mctominay very good also. Not heard anything positive about mourinho giving youth products a chance.

Thought Scott McTominay handled himself well tonight – what rating would you give his performance out of 10?! #MUFC #SEVMUN #MatchdayMac pic.twitter.com/rSiJ5YkHBT
