Arsenal have confirmed a new five-year contract deal with Emirates Airline who are the sponsor of the Gunners kits.
Having agreed to the deal, the club’s shirt and other training kits will contain the airline’s branding until the end of the 2023/24 season.
It should be recalled that both parties first strike a deal in 2004, but the deal only gave the airline company the rights to bear the Gunners new stadium.
In 2006, both parties renewed their agreement but this time, the airline company was given the right to have its brand appear on the Gunners jersey and other kits.
While reacting to the contract extension, chief executive Ivan Gazidis admits that the North London club are on course for greatness in the coming seasons. According to him, Arsene Wenger’s men have all it takes to be a title-winning team.
He also speaks on the relationship between the club and the company, he believes both parties are benefitting from the relationship which is responsible for the contract extension.
Surprisingly, the Gunners faithfuls seem not happy with the partnership as they took to Twitter to show their thoughts on the new deal.
According to Taz Rahman, Quícksílver and Claude Wu via their respective verified accounts, they want the team’s hierarchy to announce a deal with Addidas.
As for Young Da Vinci, Arsenal should end their partnership with Emirates as they brought bad luck to the Gunners.
Finally, Yo Pierre advised the Gunners to extend Wilshere and Ramsey’s contract instead.
