Barcelona superstar forward Lionel Messi has allegedly asked that three players are dropped when the Catalan side visit Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
The La Liga Leaders are one of the top favourites to win the UEFA Champions League this season but they face a tough last-16 encounter in London.
Barca, are unbeaten in all of their 24 Spanish La Liga matches and will be looking to keep up with that form against reigning Premier League champions Chelsea.
But Argentina international striker Lionel Messi has apparently warned club manager Ernesto Valverde about the risk of featuring three Barcelona players in such an important tie for the club.
As reported by Spanish publication Diario Gol, France international forward Ousmane Dembele is the first player on Messi’s unwanted list.
The former Dortmund star has only just returned from a few long-term injuries, which have reduced his playing time since his £135million move in the summer.
The second player on the Argentine’s list is Paco Alcacer. Messi is hoping he does not play on Tuesday night.
The Spain international has forced his way into Barcelona’s first-team set-up this season.
But Diario Gol further revealed that Messi does not have confidence in the ability of the 24-year-old.
Finally, the South American recommends that Portugal international Andre Gomes is not handed a starting spot.
