France and Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has updated the Gunners faithful on the level of his recovery from his latest injury.
The Frenchman via his social media accounts assured fans that he would return to action within the speculated time by the Gunners medical team.
Lacazette was tipped to lead Arsenal’s attack against Swedish side Ostersunds FK but he, unfortunately, picked up a knee injury which has prevented him from adding to his Arsenal’s cap since last month.
According to reports, the Frenchman who has been out of form for the Gunners had a successful surgery earlier this week and he is in his rehabilitation process.
The acquisition of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January has further reduced the player’s chances of appearing regularly for the North London club.
While reacting to the intensity of the player’s Injury, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that his countryman could be out of action for four to five weeks.
According to the manager, Lacazette had a swollen knee after the clash against Tottenham which ended 1-0 in favour of Mauricio Pochettino’s men two weeks ago. The was a setback for Arsenal who were preparing for a must-win encounter in the Europa League.
The Frenchman will miss out on the action against Ostersunds in the second leg of the Europa round of 32 fixture. He will also miss a Carabao cup final against Manchester City.
