Unlike previous Chelsea managers who showed little or no trust in youngsters from the team’s academy, Antonio Conte is set to give some of Chelsea’s best academy graduates the opportunity to display what they are capable of doing when the Blues tackle Hull City on Friday in the FA Cup sixth round.
Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ethan Ampadu, Dujon Sterling, Kyle
Scott and Trevoh Chalobah who all graduated from Chelsea academy are all in Conte’s squad list to face the Tigers in tomorrow’s game which might witness wholesome changes to the Blues starting lineup so as to allow the regular starters have much time to rest ahead of their all-important game against Barcelona in the Champions next week.
In his pre-match conference with the press, Conte confirmed his readiness to name Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi in his lineup while Sterling and Kyle Scott could come into the game in the second half, depending on the result of the match.
The Italian manager admitted that the reigning Champions have a great future with the quality of youngsters coming through from the academy. He also predicted great future for both Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi if they maintain their work-rate, humility and diligence irrespective of the club they play for.
Ola Aina, Loftus-Cheek, Solanke, Tammy Abraham, were some of Chelsea’s products who didn’t get the chance to play for the senior team.
The current situation with Alvaro Morata’s Chelsea future
There has been relative silence over the future of English Premier League outfit Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata in the last few days as the January transfer window runs half way.
The former Real Madrid star has been reported to be on his way away from the club over his lack of impressive performance which has bit gone unnoticed by manager Maurizio Sarri.
It was earlier reported that he would be involved in a swap deal with Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain with the Argentina international striker reported to be coming in the opposite direction but that is yet to happen.
However, another interest for the former Real Madrid star forward surfaced from Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla with claims that talks have been finalized with his agent after he was alleged to have stormed London to hold talks with the West London side.
Despite all of these, the Spanish international striker still remains a Chelsea player with the January winter transfer window already counting down with lots of uncertainty.
Meanwhile, suggestions are that suitors are yet to step up with an offer for him s the West London side are keen to have him sold in this winter transfer window.
Big hit as Chelsea make big Hazard transfer decision
English Premier League outfit Chelsea have decided to splash a £100 million asking price for Belgium international Eden Hazard ahead of his potential move away from the club.
After refusing to commit his future at the Stamford Bridge by signing a contract extension, the West London side are now left with no choice than to let him leave at the end of the season.
Several clubs have all come lining up for the Chelsea gaffer but he seems to be heading to the Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid after he confessed love and admiration for the Los Blancos in public.
Madrid have also been keen on signing the star player as they wish to have him as a replacement for world best player Cristiano Ronaldo who left the club at the end of last season to join Italian Serie A champions Juventus.
However, the West London side are keen to benefit from the situation by cashing in big on the star player in order splashing a big price tag on him.
It is now unclear if the Spanish giants will be ready to pay such an amount or would have the bargain to bring down the price before a deal for Eden Hazard can be sealed.
Chelsea consider £50m-rated striker as alternative
Should English Premier League outfit Chelsea fail in their bid to secure other striker targets, they are willing to consider former league champions Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy so as to have new additions before the winter transfer window comes to an end.
The West London side are keen to land an attacker this winter window as manager Maurizio Sarri has lost faith in Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud because of the lack of cutting edge in the team.
Several strikers have been linked with the club with Argentina international and Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain reported to be favourite to join the club as manager Maurizio Sarri remains his biggest fan.
However, with the reluctance of the Italian Serie A side to have Higuain released, the West London side could be forced to look other direction and have identified the former Premier League champion as a big alternative.
Jamie Vardy has been an unchanged figure since his resurgence that helped the Leicester city side win the Champions League in 2016 as he has continued to deliver goals for the Foxes.
So far this season, the England international has scored seven goals for his side and is expected to be secured with a cheap fee.
Man United Edge Ahead Of Chelsea In Serie A Midfielder Chase
Manchester United have reportedly moved ahead of rivals Chelsea in the race to sign highly rated Cagliari Calcio midfielder Nicolo Barella.
According to the report from Team Talk, the Red Devils are the favorites to sign Barella after they contacted his Italian Serie A side about a possible transfer on Friday.
It was further stated that Manchester United made a bid of around £30m for the young Italian international midfielder and that they have been swiftly replied by Cagliari.
The Italian club are holding out for at least €40m for him with the belief that they can get as much as €50m for him.
Nicolo Barella has built a reputation as one of the best midfielders in the Italian Serie A following his impressive outings for Cagliari since he broke into the first team two seasons.
His impressive Cagliari form has seen the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea express an interest in signing him.
Apart from the aforementioned clubs, Liverpool, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, and Inter Milan are also keen on a transfer for him.
He’s a full Italian international after making his debut for the Azzurri in October 2018.
Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo has praised him for his quality for both club and country in what could be a seal of approval from one of the best midfielders of the last two decades.
Another Chelsea player to join Fabregas on loan
Another Chelsea player Michy Batshuayi is set to join Spanish star Cesc Fabregas at the French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco for on a loan move for same reason.
Michy Batshuayi is also battling to secure playing time at the West London side under manager Maurizio Sarri which makes him keen to move on to other destination for more playing time.
Although, Michy Batshuayi is just returning from a loan spell at the Spanish La Liga outfit Valencia but there are indications that he would return for another loan move with some Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Everton linked with his signature.
However, Monaco boss Thierry Henry seems to have convinced Michy Batshuayi and the player looks all clear to join the French side with an announcement expected in coming days.
The French side have struggled to secure positive results so far this season with the former Arsenal player seeking to have a change in the second half of the season with these additions.
Meanwhile, the former Barcelona and Arsenal star has boasted that he can help the Arsenal legend turn things around and return the club back to winning ways.
Thierry Henry was announced as Monaco boss at the middle of the first half of the season and he is yet to hand a different result from his predecessor.
Fabinho not eying Chelsea, makes his wish clear
English Premier League leaders Liverpool star Fabinho has reiterated his willingness to remain at the Anfield beyond this winter transfer window.
The Brazilian international has been linked with a move away from the club after reports that he was unhappy at the club as a result of his lack of playing time under manager Jurgen Klopp.
With time, the German manager gave the Brazilian some opportunities and he seems to have won the heart of Jurgen Klopp for more playing time.
French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain are reported to be keen on the former Monaco star but they have been told that he will not be available for any price.
According to reports, Fabinho had held talks with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique but was not satisfied with the offer that was tabled which made him walk out of talks.
However, Fabinho is not interested in moving away from the club but to secure more playing time as he sees his future with the Merseyside club under manager Jurgen Klopp.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are now comfortable on top in the league table as the German boss seeks to win his first title in his three years in charge of the club.
Chelsea! Bournemouth place huge price tag on Wilson’s signature
Chelsea are reportedly searching for a new goalscorer and they have identified two players — AC Milan’s Gonzalo Higuain and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
Transfer media outlets claimed the Blues are on the verge of completing their move for the Argentinian striker after holding talks with his parent club Juventus for his services.
The Scuddeto Champions are ready to end their relationship with the player as there are many proven strikers to help them in their mission to win UEFA Champions League trophy this season.
Ronaldo, Dybala, Costa, Mandzukic are all doing well and they are capable of leading the Bianconeri to their first European glory after many years.
As for Callum Wilson, the West London outfits might need to break their transfer record for his signature.
According to Daily Star in the early hours of today, the Cherries are reluctant to let go of the Englishman in the January transfer market, hence, they’ve placed a huge price tag on his signature.
The British publication reveals that the struggling club are hoping to receive £75m from the Blues before considering whether to release him or not.
Irrespective of his qualities and his fine form this season, the 26-year-old didn’t look like a player who should carry such mammoth market value and the Blues might turn their attention to someone else’s signature.
The same report further suggests that Sarri and his employers won’t go beyond £50m offer for his signature.
Should the Cherries insist they want £75m for his signature, the Blues will ultimately end their desire to lure Wilson to Stamford Bridge this month.
Young goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga became the Blues most expensive player when he completed his £71m switch to Stamford Bridge from Athletic Bilbao in the summer.
Star player ‘confirms’ Chelsea move
Russia topflight outfit Zenit midfielder Leandro Paredes has hinted that his move to the English Premier League outfit Chelsea is as good as done after his recent activity on the social media.
Leandro Paredes has been linked with a move to the West London outfit with reports that they are already preparing a bid for him before this January winter transfer window reopens.
The star midfielder is tipped to replace Spanish star Cesc Fabregas who just joined French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco and former Leicester City star Danny Drinkwater.
Manager Maurizio Sarri is believed to be troubled by the fact that two midfielders would be leaving the club which is the reason why he is keen on having Leandro Paredes.
The Italian boss noted that former Italian Serie A outfit Napoli player Jorginho will be overstretched and left with no backup as he allegedly tells the management to do all in their powers to secure new additions in the team.
However, the West London side are now looking comfortable in the fourth position after North London side Arsenal feel to West Ham United at the weekend.
With the race still believed to be on, Chelsea will do all it takes to ensure they have a solid team to end in the top four.
Sarri finally identifies Cesc Fabregas replacement
Chelsea sanctioned Cesc Fabregas’s move to Monaco last Friday, having pocketed £10m from the Ligue 1 side.
Despite being a bit-part player in the team under Sarri, the Spaniard’s departure created a vacuum that must be filled by a new player before the end of the ongoing transfer window.
The Italian boss has been in the market for a new midfielder who will serve as the player’s replacement and he has reportedly found one.
The former Napoli coach, who is yet to win a major trophy throughout his managerial career, has identified Argentinian midfielder Leandro Paredes as the perfect man for his midfield’s setup.
The 24-year-old midfielder currently plays for Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg but he could be heading to Stamford Bridge this month, that’s if the report via Metro is anything to trust.
Paredes started his football career with Argentine side Boca Juniors before heading to Serie A where featured for Chievo, Empoli and Roma.
He enjoyed a great season with Roma in the 2016-17 campaign and he was a target for many European clubs, however, he ended up signing for the Russian powerhouse last season in a deal which was said to have worth £24m.
So far this season, Paredes has scored two goals and two assists but his overall performances at the defensive midfield position have been awe-inspiring.
The media outlet also claimed that Sarri has tabled £26.8m for his signature but Zenit might ask for more fund from the Premier League giants.
Apart from replacing Fabregas, Sarri is looking for a player to complement Jorginho’s efforts at the middle of the park and Parades seems to be the manager’s chosen one.
Chelsea make final decision on Ake’s clause
Emerging reports claim that English Premier League side Chelsea have finally concluded to resign Nathan Ake from Bournemouth.
Nathan Ake only left the Stamford Bridge two years ago but the Blues had inserted a clause in the team which allows Chelsea to have him again if they wish.
However, Nathan Ake has been impressing so far this season and the Blues are already considering to have him back with the insinuations that he has matured and will now fit into the first team.
Chelsea are still looking to strengthen this winter transfer window should an opportunity present itself and Nathan Ake could just be one of the opportunities for the West London side.
In his reaction to the report, the Cherries boss Eddie Howe claims he knows nothing about the clause and will not discuss it with the press.
There is no doubt that Bournemouth will not want to let Nathan Ake leave so cheaply looking at his influence in the team which would be missed if he leaves the club.
However, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to do all it takes to ensure qualification to the Champions League next season by finishing in the top four of the league table.
