Barcelona’s youngster Ousmane Dembele could be on his way to the Emirates stadium in the summer as he is wanted by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Having joined Barcelona in 2017 summer, the Frenchman is yet to establish himself with the Catalans due to the lengthy injury he picked up in his first appearance for the club which ruled him out of action for several months.
Arsene Wenger who signed Alexis Sanchez from Borussia Dortmund in the previous transfer market has been advised by the Gabonese striker to complete the player’s signature ahead of other clubs in the summer.
According to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang via Don Balon, the Frenchman will add more threat to the Gunners attacking department.
The club-record signing further revealed to Wenger that he had a great understanding with the youngster during their time at Westfalenstadion and he believes it will help to improve the team’s goalscoring prowess.
Should Dembele join Arsenal in the summer, he will become the third former Dortmund’s player who would move to the Gunners after Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved to the North London club in the winter window.
It is yet to be seen if Barcelona would want to cash-in on the pacy forward as he is yet to justify the price paid by the Blaugrana for his services.
Meanwhile, Aubameyang won’t be available for selection when his team battle Swedish side Ostersunds FK tonight in the Europa League competition as he is Cup-tie during his time at Dortmund.
