Arsenal to swoop for Jasper Cillessen in summer.
Arsenal did very in the January transfer window after signing two prolific players, they have now realized their number 1 priority is to sign a goalkeeper this summer.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivi, the Gunners are monitoring the situation of Jasper Cillessen.
But they will face a stiffer competition to sign the goalkeeper with Premier League Champions Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are few of the clubs willing to sign him.
Mundo Deportivo also claimed that the Bayer Munich are in the forefront to sign the Barcelona shot-stopper but will only make a decision based on how Manuel Neuer recovers from injury.
Jasper, 28 could be lured to leave Barcelona as he is currently below Marc-André ter Stegen in the pecking order.
Another report revealed that The Gunners are also interested in Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland, should they fail to secure the signing of Jasper Cillessen in the summer.
The England International will be excited to join Arsenal citing the prospect of higher wages and European football.
Petr Cech has not been superb this season and Arsenal signing a new goalkeeper will facilitate his departure – He will clock 36 soon and he has been fumbling in between the goal post this term.
