Manchester United are set to sign Harry Maguire with £50m.
Report by The Mirror claim that Manchester United are interested in signing Leicester City powerhouse Harry Maguire with £50 million tabled by United to land the player.
While Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are struggling at the backline, it is normal for Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to push for a major defensive addition this summer, with Harry Maguire identified as the best player for that position.
Maguire, 24 has been consistent for Leicester City after his £17million summer move from Premier League club Hull City.
Harry Maguire has been impressive and his abilities have not gone unnoticed by Premier League which has led the likes of Manchester United to swoop for him ahead of the summer transfer window.
Leicester City signed Maguire last summer with the Sun claiming that Tottenham Hotspur were keen to sign him, but they later backed away when they could not match the deal offered by Leicester City. Tottenham later moved to secure the signing of Ajax defender Davidson Sanchez.
However, Tottenham would regret not signing the payer after seeing his value soar this season, they could have signed the player for a fraction of the fee paid to sign Davidson Sanchez.
Although, Sanchez has been a great addition to Tottenham Hotspur this season, But Tottenham’s Chairman Daniel Levy would surely love the idea to oversee Harry Maguire value rise under his management.
