Former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is ready to end his vacation which has lasted for a season since he left Barcelona’s job in 2017 summer.
The former Spain international midfielder whose spell with the Blaugrana was largely successful is reportedly set to return back to his coaching job by facing a new challenge in the Premier League next season.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea are tipped to be his next destination as the Premier League title-holder might show Antonio Conte the exit door before the end of the season should he fail to defeat West Brom in Monday’s encounter.
Though Luis Enrique admitted that he won’t accept any offer before the end of the season, Chelsea are in regular contact with the manager so as to prevent losing him to other interested clubs including Arsenal and PSG.
According to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Blues could be rivalled by Arsenal for the 47-year-old manager in the summer.
The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is likely to vacate his post before the start of next season having failed to lift the League trophy since his unbeaten run to the trophy in 2004.
Arsenal fans are not comfortable with Wenger’s lack of trophies and they are hoping the club signed Enrique who won many trophies while at Camp Nou.
He won the Champions League on, La Liga on two occasions, Spanish Super Cup and Copa Del Rey before moving out of the team.
Paris Saint-German are speculated to be in the race for the manager’s service despite Chelsea leading the race for the Spaniard.
