Antonio Conte and Chelsea and Arsenal fans single out Olivier Giroud for praise after winning against West Brom.
Antonio Conte was delighted with the contribution of Olivier Giroud after the striker played his full debut for Chelsea with a superb display against West Brom.
Eden Hazard scored twice, while Victor Moses scored in the 63rd minute to seal the game, bouncing back to winning ways after defeats to Bournemouth and Watford.
Olivier Giroud produced a superb play to set up Hazard’s opening goal, giving both Arsenal and Chelsea fans some thought on why Antonio Conte was eager to sign the former Arsenal player.
This is the first time he made a full debut for Chelsea, the 31-year-old joined Chelsea in January and he repaid Chelsea fans with a slick assist to set up Eden Hazard’s goal.
His transfer to Stamford Bridge was rectified when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Arsenal, enabling Chelsea outcast Michy Batshuayi to join Dortmund.
A fan tweeted:
Chelsea needed a striker like Olivier Giroud. All of the sudden the team has structure, target man & a #9 that can hold balls up and allow midfielders to come on board. Still weird seeing him in a Chelsea shirt though.

36 minutes and it's already close to the full Giroud Experience. Miss a sitter, class one touch assist, an ill-advised attempt at a ridiculous goal, rolling around like he's been tasered after getting a knock. It's been like a week and I already miss him so much.

Chelsea will play Hull City on Friday in the FA Cup.
And they will host Barcelona on Tuesday in the first leg of the Champions League.
Chelsea last encounter with Barcelona was in 2012, Fernando Torres scored the winning goal in that match.
