Premier League run-away leaders Manchester City are in the race for Norwich City midfielder Maddison who has been in fine form for the Yellow Canaries despite the team’s uninspiring displays so far this season.
He has scored eight goals for the Championship side which has endeared him to top Premier League clubs including Liverpool, City and Tottenham.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly set to add more young players to his team and he is set to compete with Liverpool for the midfielder whom he believes will bring more quality to the Citizens midfield.
Norwich are said to release the player if Manchester City or any other interested clubs are ready to pay £30million for his services.
Liverpool are also interested in Maddison as they hope to find a long-term replacement for Phillippe Coutinho whom they sold to Barcelona in January.
Jurgen Klopp whose team have been in fine form this season are the first club to show interest in Maddison before they are being joined by Manchester City in the race for the former Coventry player.
Should City acquire his services ahead of Liverpool and Tottenham, Maddison will joined the list of young players who are in Guardiola’s senior team including Brahim Diaz, Phil Foden, Lukas Nmecha and Tosin Adarabioyo.
