It appears Monaco star player Fabinho is destined to play at Old Trafford from next season.
According to reports, the Old Trafford club are in advanced talks with the French champions for the Samba star and are about completing a £44million move for the player.
Manchester United were strongly linked with a move for Fabinho after he helped his side with the Ligue 1 title last season.
And while Monaco sold the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva last summer, they chose to keep Fabinho at the club.
It is understood the midfielder wasn’t pleased that he was denied a move to England, but the red devils have however maintained their interest in him throughout this season.
And according to new reports, Jose Mourinho’s side are close to a £44m deal with the French club.
Fabinho is a versatile player who can effectively play as a central midfielder and as a right back.
At Old Trafford, manager Jose Mourinho is seeking to sign a central midfielder – to replace Michael Carrick, and a long-term replacement for Antonio Valencia – who turns 33 in August. And they could save lots of money by signing Fabinho this summer.
The Portuguese boss insists he won’t sign another attacking player after completing a deal for Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last month.
