Chelsea are reportedly monitoring Manchester City striker Raheem Sterling according to reports.
The Englishman is one of the best strikers in the League this season and Chelsea could be vying for his signature when the summer transfer window opens.
Sterling has been directly involved in 29 goals, scoring 19 goals and 10 assists in 34 matches in all competitions for the Citizens so far this season.
According to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, the Blues will make an official approach to the player’s representative in the summer if they fail to retain their influential playmaker Eden Hazard who is heavily linked to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
Real Madrid have been consistent in their chase after the Belgian midfielder since 2016 summer and they are reportedly willing to reignite their interest in the 27-year-old as soon as the next transfer window commences.
It might take the Blues sometime before they could be successful in convincing Pep Guardiola to let go of the player whom he rated so high.
With Sterling’s current form for Manchester City, the 23-year-old will no doubt be a player to watch during the summer World Cup which will Kick-start by June in Russia. England Manager Southgate will hope the player maintains his goalscoring form until the end of the competition so as to lessen Kane’s goalscoring responsibility for the three Lions.
