Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly considering the possibility of signing Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere on a free transfer deal in the Summer.
The England international whose contract expires by the end of the season could be on his way out of Emirates stadium as he is currently drawing Klopp’s attention.
Wilshere 26, was offered a new contract last month but he’s yet to accept the offer as there will be a slash in his weekly wages.
The player who currently receives £90,000 per week will see his wages reduced to £80,000 should he extend his stay with Arsene Wenger’s side.
Liverpool are set to pay the midfielder the same amount he’s receiving at Arsenal if he joins the Merseyside club in the summer but it is yet to be seen if he will join a club where it might be hard to get much playing time.
Having signed Oxlade-Chamberlain for £35m from Arsenal in the just concluded winter transfer window, Jurgen Klopp will be hoping he signs Wilshere whom he believes could bring more quality and depth to his team at the middle of the pitch.
Jack Wilshere seems to have rejuvenated his Arsenal career after spending most of this season on the substitute bench. The England midfielder came on for Aaron Ramsey in their 5-1 triumph over Everton.
The player who missed the Gunners’ 3-0 defeat to Swansea last Wednesday will hope to keep his place in Wenger’s starting lineup despite the addition of Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang from Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund respectively.
