Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is under intense pressure to save his job as he might reportedly lose his job should he fail to defeat Watford on Monday.
The Blues were surprisingly defeated 3-0 by Bournemouth last week at Stamford Bridge thereby leading to increase speculation that the Italian manager could be sacked by Roman Abramovic.
The Sunday Express suggests that Conte could vacate his post as Chelsea manager if he didn’t get a positive result from the match against Watford who are currently out of the form which saw them remain in the sixth position during the first half of the table
Conte will hope to take the maximum three points on Monday as he had earlier declared his love to see-off the 18 months left in his contract with the Blues.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri has been linked with a move to become the next Chelsea manager. The former banker seems to have impressed Chelsea’s board with his managerial qualities which he has displayed so far this season for the Serie A table topper.
The Blues should be ready to spend nothing less than £7m for his signature due to the manager’s release clause of £7m in the contract he signed with the Serie A side at the start of the season.
The West London club are also monitoring the situation of former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique and Atletico manager Diego Simeone, in case they fail to convince the 59-year-old Napoli boss to sign a contract with them.
