According to reports from Germany, Premier League giants Manchester United have entered the transfer race to seal the signature of Arturo Vidal and Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are set to sell this summer transfer window.
Bayern willing to sell
Bild, as cited by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the German outfit are “happy” to offload the 30-year-old versatile midfielder when the current campaign ends.
The same article says that the Blues are also keen on landing the midfielder this year, with manager Antonio Conte having worked together with the South American during the duo’s spell together at Serie A side Juventus.
Conte’s future a major issue
However, the same article suggests that because Antonio Conte’s future at the club is not certain that could give rivals Manchester United the advantage in the race for Arturo Vidal’s signature.
The Chile international has bagged six goals and provided two assists in 17 league appearances for Bayern so far this term.
League debut in sight
Meanwhile, Vida’s National teammate Alexis Sanchez could make his League debut for new side Manchester United when Jose Mourinho’s men head to Wembley Stadium to play Tottenham Hotspurs on Wednesday night.
The former Arsenal star helped the Red Devil’s to secure a 4-0 victory over Yeovil Town in an FA Cup encounter on Friday night.
