According to various media sources, Chelsea target Emerson Palmieri has agreed a move to Stamford Bridge this New year from AS Roma.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the 23-year-old defender has agreed to link up with the Blues from Roma this window as manager Antonio Conte eventually manages to strengthen his defensive options.
The same article states that the Brazilian left back has agreed a deal believed to be worth about £80,000 weekly to move to West London as Antonio Conte’s second signing of the winter transfer window.
Part of double deal
The defender has been strongly linked with a transfer to Chelsea recently and has been tipped as being part of a double transfer deal including Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko.
The Brazilian left back has only just recently returned from a severe injury but it seems that the Chelsea manager has identified the Roma star as the man to reinforce his left wing-back option.
Double deal a possibility
We’ll wait to see if the Blues will be able to seal a double swoop for both Dzeko and Emerson before next week’s deadline day.
However, the same article says that the defender is expected to join Chelsea this window even if Chelsea proposed transfer for Edin Dzeko were to materialize.
