German giants Borussia Dortmund are set to drop their interest in Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud and turn to want away Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi.
According to reports Die Schwarzgelben were keen on acquiring the French international has part of the deal Arsenal are proposing for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. While the Gunners had however agreed initially, their bids so far have not involved the 31-year old and has so far frustrated Dortmund.
Although the Germans are still open to selling Aubameyang to Arsenal as the Gabon international is said to be forcing a move to North London, Dortmund are now set to drop their interest in Giroud and turn to Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi according to new reports.
Batshuayi, 24, is reportedly available on loan this month, but the Premier League champions will only sanction a move for the Belgian if a new target man is brought in to the club in a few days.
Chelsea are in talks with Roma for Bosnian, Edin Dzeko and while it has not led to an agreement between all parties involved, a deal is believed to be highly likely this month. The Blues have been reported to have inquired about Giroud as an alternative to the former Man City striker.
The next few days could turn into a rollercoaster ride for all the parties mentioned above, as deals could all become intertwined very soon.
