Finally, Chelsea now very close to surprise double deal

Published

on

Edin Dzeko

According to reports, Chelsea are close to signing Roma duo of Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri.

This report will come as a welcome surprise for fans of the club as a deal for Dzeko was believed to be very unlikely at this point of the season, but Roma are willing to sell the 31-year old Bosnian.

Reports from Italy say the Premier League champions are prepared to pay €50 million for both players as well as up to €10 million in add-ons and are also willing to send striker Michy Batshuayi on loan to the Rome-based club as part of the deal.

Also according to the report, Edin Dzeko – who was believed to not be up for sale – is interested in the move and considering his age the Italian club believe cashing in on the former Manchester City man is the right choice.

A deal for Emerson, however, has been reported to be close after his agent confirmed talks.

The players have endured different tales so far this season at Roma. Emerson Palmieri just returned from a long-term injury and has made only 2 appearances for the club. Dzeko, on the other hand, has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season scoring 12 goals (including a brace against Chelsea in the champions league).

Signing both players will be a major boost to Chelsea as they will occupy positions of concern for manager Conte (Center-forward and Left-back).

Although Roma has not agreed to the deal they are believed to be leaning towards it.

Liverpool bows to Chelsea over highly rated star player

Published

By

Ousmane Dembele

2012 Champions League winners Chelsea have been handed a big boost in their bid to sign highly-rated Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele following the news that Premier League title rivals Liverpool have pulled out of the race to sign the 21-year-old when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

Several media reports claimed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is happy with his attacking options at the moment and that he won’t be signing the hugely talented player.

Liverpool have the quartet of Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in attack as well as the forgotten Reds duo of Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke.

The Merseyside club also added Swiss international star Xerdan Shaqiri to their attacking ranks in the summer.

The former Bayern Munich and Inter Milan player signed for Liverpool during the summer’s transfer window after the Reds paid the £13m release clause in his contract at Stoke City who were relegated at the end of the last Premier League campaign.

The World Cup winner has been linked with a move to the English top flight ahead of the next transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.

The Frenchman has been underwhelming for Barcelona since he signed for the Nou Camp giants last summer for an initial fee of around €105m plus add-ons of €35m.

Chelsea star set to return back to Stamford Bridge

Michy Batshuayi

Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi who is currently on loan with Spanish side Valencia could be on his way back to the Stamford Bridge if calls made by fans are anything to go by.

The 25-year-old was brilliant with his national team on Thursday night where he scored a brace to hand his Belgium side a 2-0 win over Iceland in the international friendly.

Since joining the West London club in 2016, the Belgium international has been inconsistent in his performance and that has been an excuse to the club managers for keeping him on the bench without enough starting role.

He was out of favour in the former manager Antonio Conte’s team where he mostly came in from the bench but little did we know that the Italian boss was not wrong with the coming of manager Maurizio Sarri who also did not make use of the Belgium man.

Michy Batshuayi was eventually sent out on his second loan spell to Valencia and it is obvious he is still not living to expectations as he has got just two goals to his name, each in the Premier and the Champions League since joining in the summer.

However, his performance on Thursday night have seen the Blues fans hailing the player with the hope of having him return back from his loan spell.

Christian Pulisic

Chelsea have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Bundesliga No. 22 Christian Pulisic after he made his wish to play in the English Premier League public.

The Borussia Dortmund forward has been on the radar of the West London club as well as Liverpool but it seems the Blues are now in a better position to sign the player this time around.

With the 20-year-old being in the final 19 months of his current contract with the Bundesliga giants, suggestions are that this is the best time for Chelsea to have the player join the Stamford Bridge.

Although, Christian Pulisic says he is not in a hurry for a move but he clearly affirmed that the Premier League is a place where lots of young lads dream to play, stressing that he sees no reason why he will also not be listed as one of those that will play there.

The 20-year-old admits that he is currently having it good at Borussia Dortmund and he wishes to enjoy it while it last before considering a move away.

However, the West London club will have to wait for the United States international until he is ready for a move as he has already made it known that he is not leaving Germany at the moment.

Chelsea keep mute on star player allegations

Andreas Christensen

English Premier League giants Chelsea have refused to give a reaction on the reports that they made illegal money transactions to secure the transfer of Andreas Christensen.

The transfer saga linked to Chelsea’s defender has been a major issue in the media within the past few days which alleged that Andreas Christensen’s father Sten Christensen joined Chelsea as a talent scout on July 1 2012.

It was observed that July 1st 2012 was the same day his son Andreas Christensen joined the Stamford Bridge following his 16-year-old birthday which creates suspicion on how the deal was run.

In what seems to be an abnormality, it was alleged in a report by Politiken that Sten Christensen secretly received well over £600,000 over four years from Chelsea without conducting any scouting for the club.

Although Andreas Christensen is yet to make his Premier League debut appearance for Chelsea, the Blues are facing a threat of being banned from having signings until further notice.

In a bid to have Chelsea react through a spokesman, he declined by stating that he will not give any comment on speculations regarding player’s contract which to him, remains confidential.

However, there are expectations that Andreas Christensen will leave the West London club should he fail to have starting roles or regular playing time at the club.

Maurizio Sarri to table £60m for 6f tall right back

Elseid Hysaj

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly keen on tempting Elseid Hysaj from his former club to the Stamford Bridge in the winter transfer window opening in coming months.

The Italian boss is a big fan of the right-back and is keen to have him join the Blues knowing that they have worked together in the past and the fact that Elseid Hysaj already knows his demands and tactics.

Sarri had made efforts to move along with Elseid Hysaj in the summer window when he also dumped the Italian side for England but a deal did not fall through and he is keen to try his luck again.

Elseid Hysaj’s agent Mario Giuffredi had once reacted to the speculations linking his player to the West London club in the summer by being open to a possible move.

Mario Giuffredi stated that Hysaj remains a great and experienced player who can fit well into the rigours of the English Premier League with his physicality.

According to him, Chelsea might not find it easy getting the service of his client because they might have to pay within the sum of £60 million to be able to have his signature.

However, Chelsea can have a good bargain to get the price lowered down knowing that Kevin Malcuit has overtaken Hysaj as Napoli’s right full-back.

Hazard makes surprise claim on Ballon d’Or award

Timothy Aiyeku

Published

Eden Hazard

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has ruled himself out of this year’s Ballon d’Or award, stating that he does not deserve to win it.

The Belgium international has been shortlisted in this year’s list, making it his third time after coming 8th in 2015 and 19th in 2017. This time again, he feels he does not deserve it because he has not worked hard enough.

Hazard’s claim comes when he is enjoying a very good form and being one of the best players in the West London club with 8 goals this season and 4 assists to his name.

Although, the Belgium international says he does not feel motivated by individual awards as he stated that some players deserve it ahead because they have been better.

Therefore, Hazard pointed at French giants Paris St Germain star Kylian Mbappe as the best candidate for the award because he has been consistent and scoring goals as well.

Hazard is of the opinion that Spanish giants Real Madrid star Luka Modric would have been a better candidate for the award also but because he has been little quiet especially in the months of August and September.

However, Hazard has his focus on a title win this season with manager Maurizio Sarri.

Ousmane Dembele

It has been revealed that should Liverpool succeed in the capture of Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele, it would be bad news for their Premier League title rivals Chelsea.

The French forward has been linked to the Anfield ahead of the January transfer window and Liverpool are keen to break the bank in order to have his signature.

The Reds boss Jurgen Klopp who is a big fan of the player is ready to break the bank to launch a whopping sum of £85 million offer for the player with the hope that it could tempt the Spanish giants into giving him away.

However, cashing in on Dembele is believed to boost the financial power of the Camp Nou team to be able to make an offer for Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

Reports according to El Gol Digital reveal that Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde is a fan of the Belgium international and has already made a request for him.

Meanwhile, Hazard is being wanted at Real Madrid with the Bernabeu side willing to meet his fee but the West London side have been reluctant in having the player leave.

Although, Hazard recently declared his wish to play at Real Madrid having stated that the Los Blancos remains a childhood dream club.

Olivier Giroud

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has stated that he was ordered to leave his former North London side in the 2017 summer by God.

Giroud who did not enjoy his last days at the Emirates Stadium owing to his unsatisfactory performance revealed how difficult life was for him at Arsenal before he moved to the other side of London.

The Frenchman was unhappy that he was already replaced before he was gone after former Gunners manager Arsene Wenger signed Alexandre Lacazette from French outfit Lyon.

Giroud who was threatened with the arrival of his fellow countryman stated that he had to pray for a direction on how to go about it before he was asked to leave.

However, the World Cup winner has failed to impress since joining the Stamford Bridge but he is positive that he made the right decision to move away.

Giroud has not delivered convincingly as a striker this term in terms of goals but manager Maurizio Sarri has expressed delight with the player stating that the former Arsenal man has helped the team with his assist.

Meanwhile, Giroud expresses delight to be playing alongside Belgium star Eden Hazard as he described him as the best player in the world.

Finally Chelsea agree to send star player out on loan

Timothy Aiyeku

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea have agreed to send star player Callum Hudson Odoi on loan in the coming January transfer window.

The 18-year-old young lad has been seeking for first-team football at the Stamford Bridged but he will have the chance to get it outside the West London club.

Callum Hudson Odoi’s loan move is designed by manager Maurizio who wants the player as well as others to go out to secure a level of experience outside the club since they will not have that level of opoortunity at the Stamford Bridge.

Attempt was made by the Italian manager to keep the player and that was the reason why he listed Callum Hudson Odoi in the starting lineup for the Community Shield in August where he played about 59 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

There are suggestions that Callum Hudson Odoi will head to either Germany, Australia or Netherlands where he can get quick developments before returning back to the club.

The Blues have got a number of young talents within that age grade but Ross Barkley has been able to beat off all competitions to make the first team.

The young lad stood in the gap for Belgium star Eden Hazard while he was away as a result of back pain.
