Reports of Atletico Madrid star Antoinne Griezmann joining Manchester United have been on for over 18 months.
There have been reports of agreed terms, delays, change in agreed terms, dropped interest and more but one constant has been that both parties were keen on the move.
However, things have changed in the New Year with Spanish giants – who have been long time admirers of Griezmann – stepping up efforts to sign the French man.
Man United were reported to have dropped their interest in the attacker in recent times especially as they are close to signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.
New reports from Spain now say that Barcelona have taken advantage as they have struck terms with the 26 years old France international.
This agreement is set to see the Atletico Madrid No.7 become the first signing for Barcelona next summer as he will complete the move at the end of the season.
This news could bring an end to this long transfer saga and give Griezmann the big challenge he has desired for a while now.
According to the reports backing away from this new agreement by any of the parties involved will result in a financial penalty.
Antoinne Griezmann has not been in the best of form this season for Atletico Madrid scoring only 5 goals so far in 16 La Liga appearances and will definitely be looking forward to his move to the Nou Camp.
