Germany international and 2017 FIFA confederations cup star Leon Goretzka has agreed to join German champions Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
The Schalke 04 midfielder has been drawing a lot of interests from a host of big European teams including Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus.
His current contract with Schalke expires in less than 6 months which has seen the above mentioned clubs make moves for the talented young star.
A deal was reported to have been agreed with Liverpool last month but that turned out to be false.
The player has been leaving hints on the media as he was said to be making decisions as regards his future.
Latest reports, however, has stated that Goretzka has passed medical and agreed terms with the Bavarians.
Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel has confirmed the move while stating his club’s disappointment at losing such a quality player. He stated that Bayern Munich executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge informed them that terms have been agreed and that his medical has been conducted.
Leon Goretzka who turns 23 next month is highly rated in Germany and is a full Germany international with 12 caps and 6 goals for his country.
Goretzka who has scored 4 times in 11 Bundesliga this season found the prospect of playing for his nation’s biggest club too massive to turn down in a blow to the other interested clubs.
