The transfer of Alexis Sanchez to Man United is all but confirmed as the player is desperate to move and the club is desperate to have him.
The only issue is what kind of deal will see the 29-year old move to Manchester from London.
At the moment, the Gunners fancy a swap deal involving out-of-favour Man united attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan but are having a hard time convincing him to make the move.
Man United However are confident of a move as they are ready to pay a transfer fee of £35 million if Mkhitaryan declines a move to Arsenal which is quite high considering Alexis Sanchez has less than 6 months left on his contract.
A lot has been said as regards the position the Chilean will take up at United. Many believe a place on the right in Mourinho’s 4-2-3-1 system is the best bet for balance in the starting XI considering the form on the left wing of Anthony Martial – which is the position Sanchez mainly operated from at the Emirates.
He could also operate as a center-forward like he did last season when he scored 24 Premier League goals for Arsenal.
Talking about what he will bring to the team; his unrivalled work rate – Alexis is always busy and always puts in a shift, versatility – he can play across the attacking line which is very important to Jose Mourinho, assists – this would benefit Romelu Lukaku who has appeared starved of chances in recent times and of course, the Chilean at 29 is vastly experienced and will bring that to a relative young Man United attack.
His goals is definitely something all Man united fans know about as he has consistently found the back of the net since coming to England.
