Chelsea midfield star N’golo Kante has been identified by French giants Paris Saint Germain as their top target for the summer transfer window according to reports from France.
The France international has widely been regarded as one of the best holding midfield players on the planet having enjoyed back to back Premier League success with Leicester City and Chelsea.
His consecutively outstanding performances over the past 3 seasons have seen his stock rise exponentially across Europe and now free-spending Paris club are looking to take him back to France.
PSG have been in the market for a defensive midfield player since the summer having failed with a bid to sign Monaco’s Fabinho.
Italian Thiago Motta is at the moment the only natural holding midfielder at the club which sees the Ligue 1 leaders turn to the ‘ever-reliable’ French man Kante as a possible upgrade on the veteran player.
The player who cost The Blues upwards of £30 million in the summer of 2016 will not come cheap even if they are convinced to sell. And given PSG needs to conform to UEFA’s financial Fairplay regulations a deal just seems at this time a little out of reach for the Parisiens.
Kante has been ever present for Chelsea this season making 19 Premier League appearances for the League champions scoring once.
