Manchester United have been monitoring Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker since the two sides best met in the last 8 side of last season’s Europa league – a competition Man United went on to win.
The 22-year old midfielder is one of the best prospects in the Belgian top flight and has been drawing a lot of enquiries from top European sides especially Man United.
Now the General Manager of the Belgian side Herman Van Holsbeeck has in a recent statement informed interested sides of the amount it would take the prize the promising midfield star away from the club.
“We’re not going to let our star go. Unless there is an insane bid perhaps. A transfer for €25- €30m is possible, but then we also need a replacement right away,” he is quoted to have said by MEN.
Man United manager Jose Mourinho is said to be looking towards midfield signings in the summer with Michael Carrick unlikely to get a new deal with the club and Marouane Fellaini – a favourite of the manager – refusing to sign a new contract.
Leander Dendoncker now a Belgian international having gone through their youth ranks, is a defensive midfield player capable of playing at Center-back and could prove to be a good signing for the Old Trafford club.
