Marcos Alonso

World champions Real Madrid are looking to sign Chelsea left wing-back, Marcos Alonso.

The Blues defender has been in great form for the club since signing in the summer of 2016 for Italian side Fiorentina for 24 million pounds contributing a number of goals for the club. No defender has scored more than the Spaniard since he came to the Premier League.

His performances have reportedly caught the attention of Real Madrid who have been linked with a number of his Chelsea teammates in recent weeks.

The Bernabeu club are believed to be set to cut ties with their Brazilian superstar left-back Marcelo, as they feel his performance levels have started to drop.

Poor performances from their team this season, especially in La Liga, has seen the Real Madrid chiefs look to carry out a squad overhaul with Marcelo apparently falling under the axe.

Chelsea’s Alonso now appears to be a major target for the club despite young Theo Hernandez currently at the club and willing to have both players in their team.

The 27-year old started his career at Real Madrid before moving to Bolton Wanderers in 2010.

He has scored 6 goals this season in the Premier League establishing himself as the best goalscoring defender in the league
