Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is planning a bid for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil this month, according to reports from the UK.
The United manager is known to have a considerable winter budget and is ready to test the resolve of the North London club with a bid for their contract rebel, Ozil.
The Reports say Mourinho is ready to bid as high as ₤35 million for the player this month despite the fact that he will be available for free in the summer as he dreads a potential battle with the likes of PSG and Bayern Munich who are also interested in a summer move.
The 29-year old Germany international alongside club-mate Alexis Sanchez are set for free moves away from The Emirates in the summer after refusing to extend their deals with the English side.
A bid from Man United might just put Arsenal in a compromising position despite their stand that they will not sell both stars in the winter window. As losing both players for free is not a very good business return for the club after spending huge fees to bring them in the first place.
Mesut Ozil has been in very good form in recent times for Arsenal after being subjected to a lot of criticisms from pundits as well as fans of the club for his poor work rate during games.
If these reports are true then Arsenal manager and their board have a lot of thinking to do as regards keeping or selling the star playmaker.
