Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on reinforcing his team, and he has been on the lookout for a talented left-back he can bring to Old Trafford.
A handful of top players have been linked with Manchester United, and we shouldn’t be surprised seeing a new player at Old Trafford before the closure of the ongoing winter transfer window.
Recently, it was reported that Jose is set to sign Faouzi Ghoulam from Napoli next summer by activating his release clause.
However, there are more recent speculations linking the Old Trafford club with Tottenham’s Danny Rose.
The Mirror are reporting that manager Jose Mourinho has the intention of getting Rose’s signature with £50M.
Unfortunately, it was added that Ed Woodward has told Mourinho he can’t sign Danny with that amount. Woodward has reportedly told Mourinho he must first sell some players if they are to sign Rose for that price.
Mirror also claimed that Ed has recommended younger alternatives to the Portuguese boss, but the former Real Madrid manager is not happy with this.
If Mourinho is keen on signing Rose, he is likely to sell the duo of Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian to get the necessary funds to sign Danny.
A few days back, Mourinho told newsmen that Manchester United must spend more money if they are to eventually win the premier league again.
