Former Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra is set to join French side Paris Saint Germain on a free transfer according to latest reports from France.
The 32-year old who last played for UAE pro league side Al Jazira is currently unattached and the French table toppers are set to bring him to the capital city – as they look to conform with UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations after a summer of heavy spending.
The defensive midfield player known for his aggressive, hard-tackling style has been a bit of a Nomad in recent times, as he has turned out for 4 clubs since leaving the Bernabeu in 2012; Anzhi Makhachkala, Lokomotiv Moscow, Marseille and most recently Al Jazira.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the French man in the past and were said to be considering a move for the veteran star in the winter window. PSG however according to reports have acted fast, and are set to add the Former French international to their ranks in the coming weeks, and will also be doing so on a free transfer after the midfielder’s contract with the Asian club side, Al Jazira was terminated by mutual consent.
Many had believed this termination would spell the end for the hardworking midfield player but he is set to get one last major deal and try to prove himself once again at the highest level.
