Chelsea midfielder Willian has said he is not leaving the club as rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United in January, continues to grow.
Man United boss Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of his former star and according to reports have been keeping a close eye on the player’s situation at Chelsea as he prepares to make a move.
The Brazilian has not been a regular starter for The Blues this season but has been very impressive when given opportunities.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk star has also been linked with a move to China in recent times as well as a return to his Homeland Brazil with Palmeiras mentioned. But he has now insisted he has no plans of leaving Stamford Bridge amidst all these transfer rumours.
“There was never a contact made with Palmeiras, that’s why I decided to reply politely,” Willian said. “I just want people to make sure that they know I am very happy at Chelsea.”
Willian signed for Chelsefromrm Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013. The 29-year old’s current deal with the club runs until the summer of 2020 and according to his last comments his willing to see out his contract will the Premier League champions.
Antonio Conte however will be looking to keep all his stars at the club considering that a number of Chelsea’s star players have been linked with moves away including; Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.
