Jose Mourinho is looking to sign Joao Mario from Inter Milan.
The Italian side is interested in signing Manchester United attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan as manager Luciano Spalletti is a big admirer of the Armenian.
Mkhitaryan has not performed consistently enough since he arrived from Borussia Dortmund and Man United manager Jose Mourinho is seemingly frustrated with the 28-year old and is willing to let him leave the club in the January transfer market.
The English club is however not willing to lose the talented midfielder for cheap and have reportedly quoted a ₤40 million transfer fee to interested clubs.
Latest reports now say that the United boss will like to get Inter’s out-of-favour midfielder, Joao Mario. The Portugal international has not had the best season at Inter as he has been reduced to a squad player under new boss Spalletti.
Mourinho, however, sees the 24-year old as just want his united midfield needs and as the ideal Michael Carrick replacement.
The reports say Mourinho wants his compatriot to join him at United after Mkhitaryan joins the Serie A title contenders.
Although Spalletti has insisted the player will stay at the club, he is reported to be valued at between ₤35 – ₤40 million and will more than likely be interested in regular playing time – something Mourinho is offering, especially as the World cup draws nearer.
