According to reports, premier league heavyweights Manchester United have been monitoring Jorginho at Napoli in recent times and are likely to bring the midfielder down to Old Trafford this January.

Manager Jose Mourinho is set to take full advantage of the upcoming winter transfer window by signing new players that can help catch up with Manchester neighbours City.

The former Chelsea boss is particular about his midfield department ahead of January.

Belgium international Marouane Fellaini is likely to be sold this January after failing to agree to a new deal with the red devils.

Veteran midfielder Michael Carrick is also expected to hang his boot at the end of this season, and there are speculations he will join Jose’s backroom staff when he quit playing on the pitch.

A handful of superb midfielders have been linked with the Old Trafford club ahead of next year – and one of them is Dortmund’s, Julian Weigl.

However, according to the Manchester Evening News, the red devils are now keeping tabs on Jorginho at Napoli.

Jorginho joined the Serie A club in 2013 and has evolved into an important member at the club. The Italy international was also impressive during Napoli’s Champions League game against Manchester City last month.

Jose Mourinho has been over-reliant on Nemanja Matic this season, and the former Real Madrid boss needs more options in his midfield department at Old Trafford.
