According to reports, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is interested in adding more power to his team by reinforcing his defense department in January.
The Spanish boss is said to have identified the duo of Ryan Bertrand and Jonny Evans as the perfect players he needs at the Etihad Stadium and is ready to sign the duo next month.
The sky blue club have been impressive this season so far and are currently 15 points clear of rivals Manchester United on the premier league table.
However, manager Pep Guardiola is still interested in signing a central defender and a left back when January comes.
Ryan Bertrand has been impressive at Southampton in recent times and has caught the attention of the Man City boss. The Englishman moved to the St Mary’s Stadium in 2015 after winning the Champions League with Chelsea.
Additionally, City are also said to be monitoring Jonny Evans’ situations and intend bringing the former Manchester United defender to the Etihad Stadium next month.
In recent weeks, the Northern Ireland international was linked with a move back to Old Trafford.
Manager Jose Mourinho is also trying to sign another central defender next year and has reportedly identified the West Brom defender as the type of player he wants at Old Trafford.
