According to reports, Manchester United are set to offer Armenian star Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Serie A giants Juventus so as to beat Premier League Champions Chelsea to the signature of Brazilian star Alex Sandro.
The left-back was linked with Chelsea throughout last summer window, though the Daily Express recently named Manchester United had entered the transfer race for the £61million-rated defender.
Alex Sandro is seen as one of the best full-backs in the World right now, and would undoubtedly make a good addition for United.
As per the Sun, Manchester United are interested on him as Mourinho does not see current defenders like Ashley Young and Luke Shaw as the long-term answers to the questions for that position.
The report suggests they are set to offer the Armenian to the Turin giants as part of the transfer deal, though it’s claimed that while Juventus are a big admirer of the United star, they would instead have a proper like-for-like swap.
This means Juventus could favour Daley Blind to be added, as per the Sun, though whichever way it seems like yet more unpleasant news for the Blues in the transfer market.
Chelsea didn’t seem to bring in many of their main transfer targets last summer window, with the players Antonio Conte brought in not yet performing well.
