Chelsea legend John Terry has asked his former club not to be regretful about selling the trio of Mohamed Salah, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin de Bruyne.
The three stars were, a few years back, playing at Stamford Bridge, and they all have one thing in common – inability to impress at Chelsea, and were sold ‘cheap’ to other clubs.
However, all three have evolved brilliantly, and are now among the best players in the world.
De Bruyne, now playing for Manchester City, has been superb at the Etihad Stadium and is likely to be crowned the best player in the premier league at the end of this season.
He was at Stamford Bridge from 2012-14 and played a big role in helping Pep Guardiola’s side top the table with eleven points ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.
Mohamed Salah moved back to the premier league this summer from Roma, and the Egyptian has been phenomenal at Liverpool this season.
Romelu Lukaku, after evolving into one of the best strikers in the premier league at Everton, moved to Man United during the summer window for £75million.
But former England captain John Terry believes there should be no regrets at Chelsea for selling the three players when they did.
According to Terry, none of them made the Chelsea squad stronger when they were at Stamford Bridge, so, no regrets.
