Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is reportedly keen on a January loan move away from Stamford Bridge as he seeks regular first team action in order to boost his chances of a place in Belgium’s world cup squad.
The 24-year old has scored 7 goals in 15 appearances this season but has not seen his first team chances improve, with manager Antonio Conte preferring Alvaro Morata and even Eden Hazard in the central positions.
Batshuayi who was a ₤33 million signing from Marseille has struggled ever since his arrival at Chelsea and fears for his place in Roberto Martinez’s world cup squad, even more so with Christian Benteke’s return to form and fitness.
The reports say that Batshuayi is actively looking to leave in the January transfer window especially as the world cup is 6 months away.
It is believed that Chelsea are considering using Batshuayi as a bargaining chip in a deal that could see Monaco star Thomas Lemar arrive at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea, it was reported recently joined the long queue of clubs interested in the French attacking star and are very much keen on completing a move in the coming weeks.
A move back to France could prove to be a good one for Batshuayi given his performances while at Marseille.
