After losing to Man City at Old Trafford last Sunday, Manchester United are now eleven points behind their close neighbours and must continue winning subsequent games if they are to overtake the sky blue club.
And as far as Man United’s transfers are concerned, they are still linked with Inter Milan star player Joao Mario.
A few days back, there were widespread rumours that the Old Trafford club are set to offer Juan Mata to Inter Milan to get Mario’s signature, but the Italian club want Herinkh Mkhitaryan instead.
And recently, it was made known that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was the one who initiated contact to land Joao.
It was also said that Inter will demand €45 Million for Mario if Man United won’t include any player in the deal.
The Serie A club paid the same 45 million euros to sign the player from Sporting last year, but he has been struggling for regular playing time this season so far.
He has only started 4 Serie A games for the San Siro club this season, and has only provided five assists.
Mkhitaryan has been out of form at Man United, and instead of allowing him to continue rotting on the bench and probably lose his market value, Mourinho should agree sending him over to Milan.
