Mourinho to consider 6 classic changes to line up for Bournemouth Game

Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways when they play host to Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Wednesday night in a Premier League matchup.

The Red Devils suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of bitter city rivals Manchester City on Sunday which saw the lead at the top of the premier league increase to 11 points. Manager, Jose Mourinho will be keen to avoid any further slip-ups against Bournemouth, who played out a 2-2 draw away to Crystal Palace last time out, visit Old Trafford.

Some players are unavailable for the match; Paul Pogba will be serving the second of his three-match ban picked away to Arsenal. Michael Carrick and Eric Bailly remain sidelined with different degrees of injuries, Mourinho will likely hand a rest to Marcos Rojo, who picked up a head injury during the derby and midfielder Marouane Fellaini remains a doubt for the match.

Looking at the available players we examine possible changes the United manager could effect for the game.

In defence, Matteo Dramian could get a run out at right back as Mourinho would like to keep skipper Antonio Valencia fresh after playing a lot recently.

Victor Lindelof should be handed a starting spot as reward for his good form in recent matches, fit again Phil Jones should partner the Swedish international at center back. Luke Shaw after his good game in the Champions league against CSKA Moscow will likely get to fill in at left back as Mourinho will also like to give 32-year old Ashley Young a rest.

Midfield should see Nemanja Matic keep his place even though, Mourinho claimed the Serbian giant has been playing through an injury. Ander Herrera will most likely partner Matic in center midfield.

Jesse Lingard’s recent form should see him man the right flank of the attack, with Marcus Rashford getting the nod over Anthony Martial on the left after scoring twice in his last two matches. Juan Mata will play in the number 10 role given Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s continued absence from the squad.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could get his first start of the season as Romelu Lukaku continues to struggle in front of goal.
