Juventus defender is reportedly leaning towards a move to Chelsea over Manchester United.
Alex Sandro, who has been a regular at Juventus since arriving in 2015 from FC Porto but has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in January since he expressed his unhappiness with life in Turin.
Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte have both expressed strong interests for the 26-year old Brazilian as they look to strengthen at left-back.
Chelsea were very interested in a move for the player during the summer transfer window but were put off by the Turin club’s ₤80m quotation.
Reports in England however, suggest that the left-back is still looking to move to Stamford Bridge and is willing to snub Man United and Jose Mourinho in the process.
Alex Sandro has seen his relationship with Juventus and manager, Massimiliano Allegri, break down in recent weeks and the club are resigned to losing the defender.
If these reports of Sandro’s decision to join Chelsea turn out to be true, Man United are believed to be expected to step up their pursuits of Tottenham’s Danny Rose or Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham.
Tottenham are demanding about ₤50m for the England international, Rose, who is known to be interested in the move.
Fulham, on the other hand, are looking for possible replacements for Sessegnon should he leave Craven Cottage.
