Real Madrid attacker is reportedly up for sale. The player is said to have been granted permission to leave the club in order to pursue a fresh challenge next summer. It comes after a secret meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
The Welsh international is suffering an injury ravaged season at the Bernabeu, making only 8 appearances out of possible 22 so far this season and recently suffered a false dawn when he returned for a recent Copa del Rey tie only to suffer a relapse.
Reports in Spain say the player has a mutual agreement with Perez which would allow him to seal a potential return to the English top flight next summer.
Manchester United and former club Tottenham Hotspurs have been credited with an interest in the winger, with the former having a long standing one. Any potential deal will be very much dependent on transfer value at the time due to the player’s injury record.
Both sides are said to be unwilling to match Real Madrid’s valuation of the player as the European champions are said to be reluctant to sell at a hefty loss having spent ₤85m in acquiring him from Spurs.
There’s a lot of time until the summer, so a lot can still happen concerning this particular transfer. Bale, for now, will be working hard in order to return to first team action and prove himself to be over his injury problems.
