Belgium talented player Eliot Matazo has emerged as a target for Manchester United in recent times, and there are new reports that the Old Trafford club have made contact with him through Romelu Lukaku’s family.
Matazo has been impressive in the country and has caught the attention of various top European sides including Manchester United’s scouts – who have alerted the red devils of the player’s talents.
It was made known that United have been in touch with the youngster through the relationship Romelu’s family keeps with his club – Anderlecht.
15-year-old Eliot plays for the Belgian youth team and is the captain of Anderlecht’s under-16 side.
Manchester United star player Romelu Lukaku began his career at the Belgian club before catching the attention of Chelsea who splashed £20 Million to get his signature six years ago when Jose Mourinho was still boss at Stamford Bridge.
He couldn’t, however, find his form at Chelsea, but was able to evolve into one of the best strikers in the premier league when he moved to Everton. He was bought by Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
Matazo is also expected to leave Belgium anytime soon, he has been linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, RB Leipzig and Manchester City.
He will turn 16 next February, and the red devils will hope to lure him to Old Trafford using Lukaku’s influence.
