Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has stoked the fires as regards a move to Real Madrid with his latest admission.

The Spanish giants have been targeting the Belgian shot stopper for a while and will have gained more confident of striking a deal ahead of a possible summer move.

Courtois had in the past openly stated his desire to move back to Spain in the future after enjoying three productive years at capitol side Atletico Madrid. But it is another side in Madrid, Real, who has been chasing the goalkeeper.

The 25-year old whose two kids are currently being raised in Madrid states;

“Everybody knows that due to my personal situation Spain attracts me. If it is not now, it will be in some years.”

Courtois has just 18 months left on his current deal with the Blues and had stated in November that no progress has been made as regards a new contract with the Stamford Bridge club. This has been a matter of concern for manager Antonio Conte, as the goalkeeper has been in good form this season.

Thibaut Courtois is not the only Chelsea player to have been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, as teammates Eden Hazard and David Luiz have both seen their names linked with the Spanish champions. David Luiz has been reported to have had a fall out with Conte, who has played down such rumours as the player recovers from injury.

Fingers remain crossed to see how many of these superstars will end up in Madrid, if any.
